The Aston Hill Climb 100 Celebration will take place in May 2025 to celebrate the rich motorsport history of Aston Hill, near Aston Clinton, Buckinghamshire.
Lionel Martin made his first ascent of this hill in a tuned Singer Car on 4 April 1914. He was so successful shortly afterwards at the Herts County Automobile & Aero Club meeting on the 16th. May, that in March the following year the sporting light car club first registered a car in his name called an "Aston-Martin".
The final hill climb meeting at Aston Hill took place on 28 February 1925, with the following event scheduled for 16 May 1925 never taking place after an accident at nearby Kop Hill caused permits for speed events on public roads to be withdrawn. Hence the date of 17 May 2025 being selected for the Centenary Event.
